The Vaelorian Codex is Blackoath Entertainment's official zine for Ker Nethalas: Into the Midnight Throne. Each issue of the Vaelorian Codex offers a mix of short content updates for Ker Nethalas, such as new Domains to explore, new rules and systems, explorations of specific themes within the game, new enemies and items, and more.
In this Second Issue, you will find:
New optional Rules: From consequences of critical successes and fumbles for all skills, containers (with lots of unique items you can only find in a container), crafting lockpicks, and much more, these new rules will give you a ton of new options within the necropolis.
Creature Combat Tables: Critical hit and fumble tables to be used exclusively with enemies, adding a new layer of depth to combat.
Creature Modifiers: Tired of fighting the same old Skeletal Horrors? With the new modifier table, you'll be able to randomly add new unique traits to the horrors of Ker Nethalas, and even allow enemies that kill your characters to grow in power and become unique creatures that persist between runs!
Persistent Domains: Did your character die full of interesting gear? Don't worry, you can now find their corpse and loot it!
The Bleak Threshold: You've spent months delving the dark corridors of Ker Nethalas, and all you want now is to leave this place. Conclude your character's story with this epic finale, featuring several potential endings, from glorious to ignoble! Will you face The midnight Throne and conquer it?
