The Warren of the Ratkin
PDF. 80 pages.
Beneath the city of Iskandria, a forgotten threat stirs: the Ratkin, a hive-minded race of hominid rats tunneling through the necropolis of Ker Nethalas toward Veldonia. Warren of the Ratkin introduces a new Domain for the solo dungeon crawler Ker Nethalas: Into the Midnight Throne, filled with peril, mystery, and creeping dread. Players must navigate a sprawling underground civilization where time, the noxious atmosphere, and the will of the swarm shape every decision and consequence.
Warren of the Ratkin introduces:
Unique Mechanics: The perilous atmosphere and unique challenges found in the Warren will force you to measure every step you take and watch every creeping shadow. With new mechanics such as Minutes to Midnight (take too long exploring the Warren and imperil the very existence of Veldonia!), and the Venom system (a unique, stackable condition that warps perception and weakens resolve), every decision you make matters more than ever.
Swarmwrought & Castes: Encounter Marauders, Venom Priests, Pack bombers, and a large variety of new Ratkin enemies, among them the terrible Swarmwrought: creatures born of collective Ratkin will. With over a dozen new creatures (including a new Overseer), threats come in all shapes and sizes!
Persistent Domain: The Warren doesn’t reset; defeated enemies stay dead, and looted items remain gone, making each expedition consequential, even among multiple playthroughs.
Unique Relics & Hazards: Discover powerful new gear like The Reaping of Will and navigate unique, flavorful traps such as Venom Charges and Rat Mines.
Multiple Endings: Choose your fate: submit to the swarm, destroy the Core, or escape to a mirrored world. Each path reshapes your legacy.
Will you survive the Warren of the Ratkin?
